Wasted Aces Poker

The Las Vegas Poker Scene.

Born and raised in south Orange County, California, Brian Simon found the challenges of sports to be his calling early in life.

The youngest of three brothers, he started surfing and skateboarding by age ten. He added snowboarding at age 15. He excelled so quickly, he started to ditch school with his friends and brother, Randy, to surf and to hit the slopes.

By age 16, he was sneaking into some of California’s legendary card rooms, including Ocean’s 11, Borona, Hollywood Park, and Hawaiian Garden, using his older brother’s passport so he could play poker.

Although he has held a number of regular jobs from being a server, bartending, working in a skate shop and for his father’s construction company, Brian always knew he wanted something different.

He decided to concentrate on his snowboarding  and poker skills. A regular on the California snowboarding scene, Brian still hits the Cali cardrooms at night. During the snowboarding off-season, he returns to Las Vegas to play and develop his game on the felt.

Brian is a cash-game specialist but plays select tournaments. You can see him as a member of the Wasted Aces Poker team in card room all over the West Coast.

In his spare time, he loves to fish, golf, surf, travel, good music, good foods and hanging out with his family and friends.

He resides in Las Vegas, Nevada and Los Angeles, California.
